"Success?"

"Perfect! I'll show you the experiment right away, just wait a minute."

Dr. Karen said excitedly to Yi Hou, then took a drop of bright red potion from a nearby silver safe and applied it to a vibrant red rose in a petri dish.

Yi Hou frowned in displeasure, "Why aren't you in class right now, just wandering around the house?"

Yi Yanran's eyes clouded over, "There's so much gossip about me out there, mocking me for marrying a murderer's son. How can I still go to school? Dad, why don't you support me in breaking off the engagement with Xuanyuan Xun?"

Yi Yanran's anger flared up even more, "Why do you always defend Yun Mu?"

"Because she doesn't screw up, but you do?" Yi Hou's dissatisfaction with his daughter grew, and he waved his hand impatiently, "Go, either get to class or get to the lab and work on the antidote!"

Yi Yanran's fists clenched tightly, "Dad, one day you'll see that I'm not inferior to Yun Mu!"

With that, she turned on her heel and left.
