Just as Dr. Karen was earnestly pledging his allegiance, a lazy male voice with a groggy tone sounded, "Who is it? Making all this noise, can’t you let a guy sleep?"

The three of them turned towards the source of the voice.

They spotted Yun Shumo shuffling over in his comfy pajamas and slippers, yawning as he came. His unruly black hair was tousled over his forehead, his handsome face showing slight irritation from being disturbed, and his charming fox eyes were half-asleep, with a mischievous, devil-may-care air.

When Dr. Karen saw that face clearly, he suddenly trembled with excitement, "It's him!"

Dr. Karen pointed an accusing finger at Yun Shumo, "It was this jerk who swiped my pants, pinched my wallet, and even had the nerve to sleep with me!"

Hearing the familiar voice, Yun Shumo's drowsiness vanished instantly, and he quickly looked up.

Then, with the same anger as Dr. Karen, he retorted, "Listen up, I’m not into freaks, got it?"

"When I woke up this morning, it was clearly you holding me from behind, and... and pressing against me!" Dr. Karen said, flushed with shame and anger.

Dr. Karen sneered, "This isn’t your place, so why should I scram?"

Yun Shumo, his chest heaving with anger, turned to Yun Mu, "Yun Mu, shut the door and throw him out!"

By now, Yun Mu and Yi Jue were completely dumbfounded.

Yun Mu took a while to process what was happening, while Yi Jue remained relatively calm, clearing his throat and saying, "Can one of you chill out and tell me what the hell is going on?"

Dr. Karen and Yun Shumo glanced at each other, then quickly looked away in disgust.

Zhang Ma came over with a plate of sliced watermelon and placed it on the living room sofa.

Yun Mu gestured to the two across from her, "Who wants to start?"

Yun Shumo sneered, "I’ll start, so I don’t get blamed again!"

Dr. Karen snorted sarcastically.

Yun Shumo shot him a look, "You know me. I got to Nan City late last night, so of course, I hit up a bar for a few drinks. After getting wasted, I crashed in a room upstairs. Who would’ve thought I’d wake up with someone in my bed? I swear, I was totally plastered and out cold last night! And I sure as hell didn’t sleep with anyone!"

"If you were wasted, how can you be sure you didn’t do something stupid?" Dr. Karen retorted.

"Don’t I know if I hooked up with someone or not? My own... Wait, don’t tell me you’re a virgin and don’t know what it’s like?" Yun Shumo mocked.

Dr. Karen flared up again, "Who... who says I haven’t? Don’t you dare look down on me!"

"You’re such a wuss!"

"I’ll take you on!"

As the two were about to come to blows, Yun Mu raised her hand, "Stop! Alright, now it’s your turn. Why do you think he... did that to you last night?"

Dr. Karen coughed awkwardly, "I was also drunk last night..."

"Who would believe that?" Yun Shumo sneered.

Karen rolled her eyes at him and continued, "Because I was expelled by the Yi family head and blacklisted in the medical field, I was in a bad mood and went to drown my sorrows. I clearly remember using my own key card to open my own room. But somehow, when I woke up in the morning, all my clothes were stripped off! "I think you deliberately snuck into my room to frame me!" Yun Shumo roared.

"That was my room! I had the key card!"

Yun Shumo was so angry that his mind was in a whirl, pacing back and forth in the living room, momentarily speechless: "I'm fucking..."

Yun Mu looked at Yi Jue, "What do you think about this?"

Yi Jue shrugged, asked Karen for the name of the hotel, and then took out his phone to call the front desk.

Two minutes later, the hotel manager personally called to apologize: "I'm sorry, sir, last night it was our staff's negligence, giving the same room key card to two different guests. We deeply apologize for the poor accommodation experience and, as a gesture of goodwill, we are willing to refund the room fee and offer both guests a month's stay in our VIP suite."

Yi Jue had the call on speaker, so both Karen and Yun Shumo heard the manager's words clearly.

Yi Jue hung up the phone and looked coldly at the two: "It's clear now, it was the hotel's mistake, and they are willing to compensate you. Last night... nothing should have happened."

Karen sighed to the heavens, "But who will compensate for my innocence?"
