While staying with her parents, she had put on some weight, her cheeks no longer as gaunt as before, her eyes sparkled, gentle and reserved.

Zhen Wanlin said, "I can accept it. After we get married, I’ll naturally take care of the two kids."

Ye Lian: "I’ve been married before, but this is your first. Why are you willing?"

Zhen Wanlin: "I value the bond between two people more than anything."

Li Guilan invited the matchmaker and Zhen Wanlin, "Let’s have dinner here before you go."

The matchmaker nodded in agreement.

This meant that even if more suitors came along, none might measure up to Zhen Wanlin.

Ye Changsheng chimed in, "As long as big sis is okay with it, that’s all that matters."

Ye Changning said, "Alright, let’s see how the Zhen family feels, and we can settle this."

With Ye Lian and Zhen Wanlin’s match looking good, the rest of the Ye family felt relieved.

Meanwhile, Qian Yunduo and her little sister Qian Yunshuang were playing at Miao Cuifang’s place.

Ye Baocheng ran over and took Qian Yunduo's hand.

Ye Lian asked, "Did you have fun playing with your brother?"

Ye Lian: "Today, I met a very kind man. We might live together in the future. You and your sister have nothing to fear, no matter where I go, I will take you with me."

Qian Yunshuang innocently wondered, "Mom, will the uncle hit us?"

Ye Lian: "No, no one will ever harm you again."

Miao Cuifang and Li Guilan listened to the children's words, and they felt sad in their hearts.
