"Auntie Miao, how are you feeling?"

Lu Hanchuan: "I'm really sorry I couldn't come see you when you were having the surgery."

Miao Cuifang: "Lu, your mission was important. Auntie doesn't hold that against you, as long as you and our Xiao Xiao get along well."

Lu Hanchuan: "Auntie, don't worry, I'll make sure to take good care of Xiao Xiao."

This time, Lu Hanchuan also met Ye Changan.

Both of them were in the military, so they had plenty to talk about.

Ye Xiaoxiao pushed him and said to Ye Jianguo and Miao Cuifang, "Mom, Dad, I'm leaving now. Make sure to lock up before you go to bed tonight."

Ye Jianguo said, "You bought so much food, aren't you staying for dinner?"

Ye Xiaoxiao replied, "No, I need to get back to school."

After saying that, Ye Xiaoxiao pulled Lu Hanchuan away.

Lu Hanchuan laughed, "Do you really need to be so nervous?"

Ye Xiaoxiao said, "Of course, after all, some people really follow through on their words."

Lu Hanchuan reached out to pinch Ye Xiaoxiao's face, soft, but no matter how you look at it, it's just so "annoying."

The two headed back to the school district compound.

Lu Hanchuan noticed many new things in the house, "Did you move out?"

Lu Hanchuan hugged Xiaoxiao, "Let's get married once we graduate."

Ye Xiaoxiao wasn't necessarily planning to wait until graduation to consider marriage, especially since medical students already have an extra year of study, and she even plans to take the grad school entrance exam.

Relationships require effort from both sides; she couldn't always expect Lu Hanchuan to accommodate her.

But now Ye Xiaoxiao definitely wouldn't tell Lu Hanchuan her thoughts. She needed to get to know him better.

Ye Changqing got a telegram from Ye Xiaoxiao, saying that their mother's surgery was very successful, and for easier follow-up, Xiaoxiao had their parents stay in Beijing for a longer period, possibly until after the New Year.
