After spending a week at school, Ye Xiaoxiao asked the counselor for permission to live off-campus.

She kept her dormitory bed reserved in case of checks, so it wouldn't count against the quota.

Ye Xiaoxiao was surprised to find that Wang Jiao also wanted to move out.

"Are you moving out alone?"

He Jing: "When did that happen? I thought you two were still fighting a few days ago."

Ye Xiaoxiao sent a message back to her elder brother, urging Miao Cuifang to come to the capital for a check-up and to discuss the subsequent treatment plan.

The message included a phone number, asking Ye Changqing to call her for details.

"Xiao Xiao, I'm calling you without our parents knowing. I haven't told Mom about the test results yet, fearing she might worry too much."

Ye Xiaoxiao: "Elder brother, you did the right thing. The medical equipment in our county is old and might not give accurate results. It's better for Mother and Father to come to the capital. There are many experts in the big hospitals here, and any issues can be treated promptly if needed."

Ye Changqing: "I'm concerned Mother might refuse to go to the capital."

Ye Xiaoxiao thought for a while, "Elder brother, have you been very busy lately?"

Ye Changqing's voice was steady: "The work I'm doing for Brother Liu is at a crucial stage, but if Mother and Father are going to the capital, I will definitely accompany them."

Ye Xiaoxiao: "Elder brother, you should focus on your own tasks first. I'll arrange for someone to pick up Mother and Father. If we tell them it's for a medical check-up in the capital, they might say no."

Ye Changqing: "What excuse are you planning to give?"

Ye Xiaoxiao: "I'll just say I need their help with some things in the capital."

Ye Jianguo and his wife, Miao Cuifang, have always felt they owe a lot to Ye Xiaoxiao, and they rarely refuse any of her requests.

Ye Changqing thought this was a good idea, but felt it was too much trouble for Ye Xiaoxiao to arrange someone to pick them up.

"Elder brother, it's no trouble for me. I already have someone heading to the northeast for work."

After putting away the test results, Ye Changqing went to pick up the elderly couple.

Ye Changqing: "You should follow the doctor's advice. Besides, Dad's test results aren't ready yet, we'll have to come back in a couple of days to get them."

Miao Cuifang muttered, "The hospital is too slow."

Ye Jianguo was quite concerned about his wife's health, "Is it really just tiredness?"
