Jiang Yu was deep in thought. He Tingyue, being a former soldier, had once demonstrated this kind of knot to her.

"Hurry up! I hear something—Li Suqin’s coming back. Untie me, quick!"

Jiang Yu quickly stuffed the cloth back into Duan Yuzhen’s mouth and hid behind one of the toilet doors.

Then, footsteps grew louder as they approached. Jiang Yu peeked through the door crack and saw it was Li Saozi.

"Well, look who’s still here."

Duan Yuzhen's eyes widened, her muffled sounds were clearly curses.

Li Saozi sneered, "I wasn’t planning to move this fast, but you kept pushing me. I’m not putting up with this crap!"

From what Jiang Yu remembered, Li Saozi had always been timid and obedient. She had never seen her so arrogant.

"Relax. After tonight, you’ll all be dead—every last one of you! Once you're dead, I'll have completed my mission."

Li Saozi patted Duan Yuzhen's cheek, "Don’t worry, I’m not sending you to the show. I’ll save you for last."

All Duan Yuzhen could think was: Li Saozi’s lost her mind.

Otherwise, why would she even think about killing everyone?

Where would she even get the means to do that?

Meanwhile, Jiang Yu thought, This isn’t the Li Saozi I know!

Jiang Yu came out and began to untie Duan Yuzhen.

"There’s something off about Li Suqin. She could be a threat to our factory. You’ve got to come with me to security. We need to stop the show and get everyone out."

She suspected Li Saozi was talking about explosives.

Maybe they’d already planted explosives somewhere.

Duan Yuzhen shook her head repeatedly, refusing to go.

"She’s just a country woman. How could she pull something like that off? She must be trying to scare us."

Jiang Yu frowned, "You’re soaked in sweat, and you still think she’s just bluffing? You were the one she kidnapped. If you don’t come with me, no one’s going to believe it."

Duan Yuzhen refused to go, worried that disrupting the event would get her scolded.

Jiang Yu had no choice but to head back by herself.

When she got to the venue, she spotted He Tingyue and his sister rushing over, looking anxious.

He Feiyan stomped her foot, "Where’d you go, sis? We checked the closest restroom and couldn’t find you—we were freaking out."

Jiang Yu cut to the chase and told He Tingyue about Li Saozi.

It seemed a bit rash to suspect her just because of a knot.

But what Li Saozi said made Jiang Yu really take notice.

He Tingyue asked, "You’re sure it’s the same knot I taught you?"

"Absolutely. She acted like a totally different person—nothing like the Li Saozi I knew."

If she was faking it before, that’s pretty impressive.

He Tingyue didn’t waste time and took her straight to the factory director.

The whole factory was there—leadership and families included.

If something went wrong, the fallout would be huge.

Factory Director Zheng’s face turned grim when he heard this.

"Comrade Jiang Yu, this is serious—we can’t jump to conclusions."

Jiang Yu said, "I’m just sharing what I know—Li Saozi’s behavior is definitely suspicious."

He Tingyue added, "If Li Suqin’s got explosives, she could be a spy in our factory. I’ve got Li Suqin detained, but getting her to talk will take time. To be safe, we’ve got to evacuate everyone and call off the event."

Factory Director Zheng frowned deeply; this was no small matter.
