    Chapter 442: It’s All Yours

Jiang Yu followed Xu Lihua all the way to Fu Xianghong's in-laws' house.

Xu Lihua, the town’s biggest busybody, knew everything—nothing escaped her notice.

By the time they arrived, Jiang Yu had heard more than enough about the Liu family.

"That old man Liu had two wives. With his first wife, he had Liu Dayong—Zhang Chunhua's ex-husband. Later, he had an affair, then dumped Liu Dayong and his mother, remarried, and had Liu Dagui with his second wife."

So, despite being brothers, Liu Dayong and Liu Dagui had a terrible relationship and rarely interacted.

That was also why Liu Dagui had no shame about taking in his brother's ex-wife.

Like father, like son. With a man like old Liu as his role model, what good could Liu Dagui possibly be?

"Back when Xiang Hong and Liu Dagui were dating, I never approved. He always had that sleazy vibe. But who would listen to an outsider like me?"

As they chatted, they arrived at Liu Dagui's house.

His home was even smaller than the Fu family's. With Zhang Chunhua now living there, Fu Xianghong was stuck sleeping on the floor.

No surprise she got sicker—sleeping on bare floorboards in winter while still recovering.

When they arrived, the courtyard was empty.

It was freezing outside, so no one wanted to linger outdoors.

Upon closer inspection, they saw Liu Dagui's family gathered around a table, stuffing their faces with meat.

Clearly, they had chosen this time to eat meat to avoid Fu Xianghong.

Liu Dagui handed Zhang Chunhua a fatty slice of pork, grinning like a fool.

"Eat, have more! When Fu Xianghong gets back, we'll see what treats she hauled back from her parents' house—it’s all yours."

Jiang Yu and the others stood at the doorway, hearing every word.

Fu Xianghong's face went as white as a sheet, her hands trembling. She couldn’t believe her ears. These words had come from her own husband.

She had thought the family was truly struggling—that they couldn't even afford meat for New Year's dinner.

Turns out they had meat—they just didn’t want her or the children to have any.

It broke her heart. All her sacrifices had been wasted on the wrong person.

Lin Hongxia let out a scornful laugh, shooting Fu Xianghong a sidelong glance.

"Happy now? You rushed back before you even recovered, just to serve these backstabbing snakes. And you still cared about such trash?"

Jiang Yu peeked inside. They were too busy eating to notice the group at the door.

She pursed her lips. "If you just divorce him like this, won’t you let them off the hook?"

Xu Lihua muttered, "Damn right! Let them off the hook!"

Fu Xianghong snapped out of it. Steeled herself, she bit her teeth.

"Mom, stay put. I’ll handle this."

Lin Hongxia grabbed her, "Where are you going? At this late hour, you’re not still backing out of the divorce, are you?"

Fu Xianghong gave a bitter smile, "Mom, trust me this once. I’m not that desperate. Even if it's just for my two children, I’ve got to fight for this today!"

Lin Hongxia snorted, "I’ll give you a minute. If you don’t come back, I’ll go in myself."

Fu Xianghong nodded firmly and hurried off.

Xu Lihua nudged Jiang Yu with her elbow, "Where’d Fu Xianghong run off to?"

    "Beats me."

Jiang Yu rubbed her hands, feeling chilly.

Right now, she just wanted to go inside and warm her hands. She didn’t want to think about anything—even spectating was a hassle.

Fortunately, Fu Xianghong didn’t keep them waiting long. After a while, she returned.

Lin Hongxia was getting antsy, seeing that those inside were almost done eating.

    "Can we go in now?"

Fu Xianghong shook her head, "Mom, just wait a little longer. They’ll be here any minute."

"Who’ll be here?" Xu Lihua asked, puzzled.

Fu Xianghong pressed her lips together, "I think Jiang Yu was right. Divorcing just like this would be letting them get away scot-free."

So she had gone to the flour mill and reported Liu Dagui.

Liu Dagui was a minor supervisor at the flour mill, having some clout there.

The thought that after the divorce, Liu Dagui would marry Zhang Chunhua and live happily ever after, his life unchanged in the slightest, while hers would be turned upside down—

It filled her with bitter resentment.

She had served Liu Dagui for so many years, poured half a lifetime of effort into him, and gotten nothing in return. Yet Zhang Chunhua waltzed in and took everything. Like hell that was happening.

Before Xu Lihua could voice her thoughts, several men marched in from outside.

Fu Xianghong lowered her eyelids, "They’re from the flour mill’s security department."

The mill’s security team was infamous for playing dirty. People said they were thugs with badges—brutal and unreasonable.

Once they got hold of someone’s weakness, they’d skin them alive without a second thought.

Xu Lihua pulled Jiang Yu aside, steering clear of them.

Without so much as a greeting, they kicked open Liu Dagui’s door, scaring the life out of everyone inside.

Liu Dagui was the first to react, pasting on a smile.

"Captain Han! If you were coming, you could’ve tipped me off. I’d have laid out the red carpet for you all."

The leader, Captain Han, was compact but built like a tank, his pockmarked face that turned grim when he wasn’t grinning.

He had that street-brawler vibe—no surprise Liu Dagui was sweating bullets.

"Director Liu, no need for the good wine and dishes. We're here to handle business."

Liu Dagui forced a smile, a bad feeling creeping over him.

After all, if Captain Han was handling it, it couldn’t be good.

"Captain Han, what... what’s this about?"

Captain Han declared loudly, "Someone reported you for messing around with women. Your wife is still here, yet you went out looking for a new wife and even brought another woman into your home."

He grinned slyly and patted Liu Dagui’s shoulder.

"Director Liu, I heard you even slept together and made your wife serve you both. You’ve got quite the setup."

Liu Dagui swallowed hard, his body breaking out in cold sweat as he forced a smile.

"Captain Han, come on, you know how it is! My wife won’t last much longer, and the kids need someone to take care of them, so I had to find them a stepmother. Whether I look now or later, it’s all the same."

Captain Han scoffed. "For the kids or for yourself—you know the truth. Save the excuses. You’re all coming back to the security department with me to give a proper explanation."

Liu Dagui didn’t dare go. The security department at the flour mill was known for playing dirty.

Especially Captain Han, whose tactics were downright vicious.

To break people, they’d tie them to chairs, shine bright lights in their faces, deny them food and water, and keep them awake.

Just as they were about to doze off, a sudden loud noise would scare them half to death, leaving them jumpy all night.

After a day of that, even the innocent would confess.

"Captain Han, we’re from the same factory. Is this really necessary?" He smiled, slipping him two big bills.

"Here, for some cigarettes, Captain Han."

"Director Liu, don’t pull that with me. I’m just doing my job. Someone reported you, so I’m here to investigate. Sound fair to you?" Captain Han smirked, refusing the money.

Liu Dagui clenched his jaw, seething but not daring to speak out.

"Fair, of course it’s fair! Any chance you’ll tell me who reported me? Maybe it’s a misunderstanding, and I can sort it out."

Captain Han glanced outside. From where they stood, they couldn’t see Fu Xianghong and the others.

But just then, someone called out, "Hey, isn’t that Xiang Hong? I saw you from inside. Why’re you all just standing there? It’s been so long—aren’t you cold?"

    Fu Xianghong forced a smile.

"Grandma Tong, not cold. I was just about to leave."

Captain Han folded his arms, grinning at Liu Dagui like he was watching a show.

"Well, ask your wife. Then you’ll know who reported you."

Liu Dagui’s face darkened with rage, instantly overshadowing his earlier fear.

His mind raced through possibilities, but he never expected it to be Fu Xianghong.

He charged outside, his face flushed with fury.

The moment he saw Lin Hongxia, he froze.

"Mom... Mom? What are you doing here?"
