Half an hour later, on a desolate small road, the off-road vehicle stopped in front of a simple convenience store.

The seven of them carried the ice-block inside, securing the place by locking all doors and windows tightly.

Xiao Hua looked around, still uneasy, and said, "I'll go outside to keep watch and make sure no one breaks in."

Bai Mu stopped Xiao Hua and turned to Zhao Ye and his team. "Ye Zi, the three of you go and stand guard at the door."

"No problem." Zhao Ye and his group accepted the order and went out.

Xiao Hua looked at Bai Mu with a puzzled expression and couldn't help but ask, "Why not let me go?"

Bai Mu pulled Xiao Hua back from the door and explained as they walked back. "He only knows us two. If he wakes up mid-way, it'll be better if we're here."

Xiao Hua realized after a moment that Bai Mu was referring to the frozen guy.

It made sense. If Xiao Hua wasn't there and he woke up halfway, he might think he had been captured and would resist desperately. With only Bai Mu inside, he wouldn't be able to subdue the person immediately.

Xiao Hua got it and followed Bai Mu back to where they were sitting.

Su Mo saw that everything was ready and tentatively asked, "Can I start?"

"Hmm," Xiao Hua replied, glancing at Su Mo before focusing her attention on the man lying on the ground.

Su Mo placed her right hand above the man's body and began channeling her abilities. A few seconds later, everything still proceeded normally.

However, a few seconds later, the man suddenly opened his bloodshot eyes and, with a forceful push of his hands and feet, broke free from the ice encasing him.

The ice instantly shattered into pieces, flying in all directions, with some flying toward Su Mo, only to be intercepted by Xiao Hua.

Xiao Zui's expression changed in alarm, worried that Su Mo might get hurt, and immediately prepared to intervene to stop him.

As expected, Xiao Hua quickly formed ice cuffs and restrained the man's limbs. The man, now suppressed, struggled even more violently.
