"Xiao Hua, could I have a goodnight kiss?"

Xiao Hua's heart fluttered under his gaze. Without a word, she leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Bai Mu's lips.

Bai Mu smiled, straightened up, and released her hands. His deep, magnetic voice was as soothing as a calm river. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight," Xiao Hua replied, reaching out to touch his cheek before withdrawing her hand and turning to leave.

Today, she was no longer single—and she was truly happy.

Early the next morning, the group of nine split into two, each driving out of the base gates toward their destination.

The chemical plant was far from F City, and it took Xiao Hua's team a grueling seven days to reach it.

Because of this, it was like a "chicken rib"—unappealing to keep but too valuable to throw away.

Sending military forces on such a long journey just for the materials inside? That didn't seem worth it.

But abandoning it and letting others take it was also out of the question for F City's higher-ups.

This was when teams of enhanced people were called in, and Xiao Hua's team had the best track record.

Outside the chemical plant, Bai Mu and Xiao Zui stood together, mapping out their next move.

Xiao Zui's idea was straightforward. "Why not just go in? With our abilities, it'll be a cakewalk."

Bai Mu thought for a moment, then turned to him. "Do you feel like something's off?"

"What?"

Bai Mu's lips curved into a faint smile. "We've got a tail."

Xiao Zui's guard went up. "Since when? Are they still on us?"

Xiao Hua stepped in, catching the tail end of their conversation and jumping in.

"Three days ago. He's been trailing us from a distance—at least three kilometers back."

Xiao Zui's brow furrowed. "He? Just one guy?"

Xiao Hua turned her gaze to Bai Mu, who smiled at her and continued, "Yes. Only one person, probably at the early stage of level four."

Xiao Hua felt relieved. "Then it shouldn't be much of an issue."

More than two months had passed, and now Xiao Zui was at the mid-stage of level four, Su Mo and Tang Yi were both at the early stage of level four, and Zhao Ye and Han Xiu Jie were also on the verge of a breakthrough.

If the tracker was only at the early stage of level four, the threat wasn't significant.

Bai Mu wasn't overly concerned about the tracker either, but he was always cautious. "Let's catch him first, figure out what he's up to, and then decide what to do."

The chemical plant was different from other places; it was filled with dangers everywhere, so he had to make sure there were no threats.

Bai Mu raised his eyelids slightly. "Then who should we send?"

"Ye Zi and Xiao Yi. Xiao Yi is already at the early stage of level four, so he should be fine."

Bai Mu thought for a moment, then nodded. Xiao Zui's idea was good; it was time to give the others some experience.

Xiao Hua had no objections to this, as long as Bai Mu didn't take any risks. If he insisted on taking risks, then...

Then she could only accompany him, always keeping him safe.

Zhao Ye and Tang Yi took on the task and drove the jeep in the direction of the tracker.
