Logically speaking, Zhao Ye and Tang Yi going to deal with one person should be a walk in the park.

Xiao Hua and the others were resting when, less than an hour later, Bai Mu's walkie-talkie suddenly crackled with a shout: "Ah, crap, Brother Bai—"

Zhao Ye's voice came through clearly, but just as he started to exclaim, it was as if someone had choked him, and his words were abruptly cut off.

Bai Mu shot to his feet, staring at the walkie-talkie, his brow deeply furrowed.

He glanced at Xiao Hua and made a snap decision: "Xiao Hua, let's go check it out."

Bai Mu turned to look at him and quickly explained: "The situation's changed. Xiao Hua and I are best suited to figure this out.

You guys stay here and guard against sneak attacks."

Bai Mu's logic was solid. His stealth abilities combined with Xiao Hua's strength made them the most suitable pair for the task. So Xiao Zui nodded.

After a quick briefing, Bai Mu and Xiao Hua slipped into stealth and quickly headed in the direction Zhao Ye had gone.

They opted not to drive, as the noise would give them away, so they jogged the whole way.

About fifteen minutes later, Xiao Hua and Bai Mu arrived at their destination. Beneath a towering tree, they found Zhao Ye and Tang Yi.

The two lay unconscious in the shade, surrounded by scorch marks, clear signs of a fight. Some zombies had been lured to the scene.

Thanks to their self-protection instincts, several lines of fire were coiled around Zhao Ye and Tang Yi, shielding them from zombie attacks.

But Tang Yi was already unconscious, and the fire lines he subconsciously generated were few and far between. Some fire-resistant zombies had already broken through and were preparing to attack them.

Xiao Hua and Bai Mu arrived in the nick of time. She glanced at the two in danger and immediately raised her hand, sending a wave of ice crystals shooting toward the surrounding zombies.

Xiao Hua's powers had improved recently, and the zombies around her were only at mid-level three at most. She quickly dispatched them like slicing through butter.

She and Bai Mu hurried over to the unconscious duo to check their condition.

The fireball was snuffed out by the water sphere before it could explode.

The water sphere, now just a faint shadow, continued to fly forward a few dozen centimeters before drenching Tang Yi and Zhao Ye.

Xiao Hua crossed her arms and shot them a cool glance, asking, "Are you awake now?"

Tang Yi was thoroughly drenched and awake. He wiped the water off his face, opened his eyes, and saw Bai Mu and Xiao Hua standing in front of him. His expression stiffened slightly.

"Brother Bai, Sis Hua."

"That guy's strength is average, but he has a special kind of powder on him. After Xiao Yi and I inhaled it, our heads started spinning, and we felt groggy before eventually passing out."

Xiao Hua nodded, recalling the key question: "How did you know his name was Zhou Laoer?"

"He said it himself," Zhao Ye tilted his head and thought for a while, but couldn't recall the exact situation.

Tang Yi chimed in: "He said his last name is Zhou and that he’s out to avenge his big brother and third brother."
