The moment the Vampire Remnant charged, Su Bai muttered quietly. This wasn't just directed at Wu Hang, but also at the other Eerie Entities in the Evil Ghost Puzzle that were itching to jump in.

Inside Su Bai's head, packed with all kinds of puzzle pieces, weird thoughts would pop up sometimes—like, could he even survive the nightmare world without the Evil Ghost Puzzle?

Lately, Su Bai had already stood in front of the door that held the answer, even had his hand on the handle.

Su Bai wanted to use this Vampire Remnant right in front of him to finally kick that door wide open.

So when the Vampire Remnant lunged, Su Bai's senses kicked into high gear in an instant, almost instinctively "flipping on."

The thing moved insanely fast, ferocious but precise, totally crazed by its thirst for fresh blood. It didn't carry any weapons, but its freakishly long nails were deadly enough, sharp as razors. Every swing sliced through the air with a sharp whistle, going straight for Su Bai's neck and chest without hesitation.

It looked like a wild animal out of control, but every strike went for the kill—speed, angle, and force all perfectly in sync, with the clear goal of draining his blood as fast as possible.

Su Bai had no choice but to speed up again. The Red Moon power inside him started forcing its way out, surging through his nerves and lighting up his whole body. His vision, hearing, and reaction speed all heightened at once. His movements were pushed to their limit in an instant.

But in this situation, just dodging was way too passive.

Su Bai suddenly realized he needed a weapon—right now.

Not something made from an umbrella or a stick using the Ghost Umbrella's power, but a weapon that actually fit.

Something that could take out a single enemy fast but also had a wider reach—because the future battlefield wasn't going to be for lone fighters.

As he was thinking, Su Bai slipped into some kind of weird meditation state.

It was weird because, even while he was still dodging the Vampire Remnant's attacks, he felt like he could see a see-through door appear in front of him. What he'd been calling a "door" before was just an idea, but now that door was actually right there in front of him.

Without a second thought, Su Bai grabbed the door handle.

He figured he could use this chance to finally open that "door" in front of him.

But what Su Bai never saw coming was that he would... actually yank the handle right off!

As he dodged the Vampire Remnant's attack, Su Bai glanced down at the "door handle" in his hand.

"Door handle" was a stretch—what Su Bai was holding looked more like a short black rod, covered in intricate red patterns, a little beat-up, and about as long as his forearm.

He almost instinctively knew what to do with it. He grabbed both ends of the rod and pulled. With a soft "click," the short rod extended into a long, black-and-red staff.

Right as the Vampire Remnant lunged again, Su Bai raised the staff and hurled it. As it flew, the staff kept getting longer, and a blurry scythe shape formed at the end.

When Su Bai poured the Red Moon's power into it, the once-faint scythe shadow instantly became solid, turning into a real blood-red blade. It swept forward with a powerful force.

The Vampire Remnant reacted fast, desperately trying to dodge, but it was just a hair too slow. Its whole arm got sliced clean off by the blade, blood spraying everywhere.

"Oww—!!!"

"This is..."

Su Bai stared at the newly born "weapon" in his hand, a rare hint of astonishment in his eyes.

Though the object looked heavy, it felt incredibly light in his grip, with no sense of dissonance—as if it had always belonged to him, an extension of his own body.

"A very... unique power." Even Wu Hang sounded somewhat surprised.

"This is my power?" Su Bai pondered.

"The Evil Ghost Puzzle is also your power. There's no need to reject them." Wu Hang's voice came again. "Keep feeling it. They are one. You can make this power even stronger."
