Song Chuyi's heart skipped a beat.
Crap, I'm about to be cornered by Hu Jiutian.
"I did say that." He put away the herbs. "I do want to have a physical body."
He scratched his head. "Then I'll go back and refine the physical Dan tonight."
Let me stall for time!
But Hu Jiutian obviously wasn't going to let him off so easily.
"A'Chu, it's safe here."
"This is my office, no one will come in."
"With my demonic energy protecting it, no one can disturb you."
"Whatever you need, just tell me, I can have someone bring it over immediately."
He almost said, "Just refine it here."
Seeing Hu Jiutian's insistence, Song Chuyi gave a light cough.
"Then… should I refine it here?"
Hu Jiutian broke into a smile.
"Good."
He looked incredibly pleased.
"A'Chu is truly wonderful."
Song Chuyi slowly summoned his cauldron.
Spiritual energy surged from his fingertips, enveloping the cauldron.
Flames sprang up, filling the air with a subtle warmth.
Hu Jiutian stood guard beside Song Chuyi.
He stared intently at the young man sitting cross-legged in the air.
The young man moved casually, yet with an unmistakable grace.
His A'Chu looked amazing no matter what he did.
As he added each herb to the cauldron, Song Chuyi's expression grew more focused.
Hu Jiutian watched intently, his breath slowing almost imperceptibly.
Half an hour later, Song Chuyi withdrew his spiritual energy.
Hu Jiutian asked eagerly, "How is it?"
"It's done," Song Chuyi said as a pill flew out of the cauldron and landed in his palm.
Hu Jiutian breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, it was successful.
Song Chuyi looked at the dark, coffee-like blob in his palm, threw it into his mouth, and chewed.
"Pretty tasty."
He commented, then his body gently settled onto the sofa.
Starting from his feet, his transparent spirit form gradually solidified, becoming more substantial.
Hu Jiutian walked up to Song Chuyi and half-knelt before him.
His large hand first grasped Song Chuyi's ankle.
Slender and delicate, it was easily held in his grasp.
This time, it wasn't covered by spiritual energy; instead, he touched his skin directly.
Hu Jiutian gently applied force, letting Song Chuyi's left leg rest on his knee.
Song Chuyi's body leaned mostly on the sofa, his right arm draped over the back of the sofa. By now, his body had fully solidified, turning him into a complete human.
"Seems like my Solidification Pill worked well."
He complimented himself.
Hu Jiutian's lips curled into a smile as he echoed, "A'Chu is the best."
He leaned forward, his tall frame nearly enveloping Song Chuyi in his embrace.
"A'Chu, hug me."
He lowered his head, like the most devoted knight offering all his loyalty to his god.
Song Chuyi gently hugged him and gave his back a reassuring pat.
"Hug my Tiantian."
Hu Jiutian's throat moved, the realness of the touch stirring dark desires within him.
Those unspoken desires from the past surged up, making his thin lips part slightly.
"A'Chu, kiss me."
Even a loyal knight demands a price from his god.
Song Chuyi's ears turned even redder. He could almost anticipate what would follow this kiss.
Thinking of this, Song Chuyi lightly tapped Hu Jiutian's lips with his fingertip.
"There, that's a kiss."
Why doesn't a fingertip kiss count as a real kiss? Song Chuyi thought rather indignantly.
Hu Jiutian's eyes were deep and mysterious, with Song Chuyi's figure reflected in his red eyes.
The air seemed to become oppressive.
But it returned to normal in just an instant.
He held Song Chuyi's wrist and lowered his head to kiss his fingertips.
"One more kiss."
Anything given by A'Chu was good.
He was willing to enjoy all of this.
Even if A'Chu gave only a little, it didn't matter.
Anyway, he would be content with just a little.
Hu Jiutian gently rubbed Song Chuyi's fingertips. "A'Chu, I am very content."
So, don't leave him.
He wouldn't allow him to leave.
Hu Jiutian's eyes darkened, hiding those surging thoughts again.
A'Chu had just gained a physical form; they shouldn't rush things.
Song Chuyi hugged Hu Jiutian and smiled in response. "Alright, alright, I got it."
"Tiantian is the happiest!"
Song Chuyi planned to take things step by step; you can't eat an elephant in one bite.
So... even a kiss couldn't be rushed!
Hu Jiutian indeed didn't push Song Chuyi, and after holding him for a while, he took him home.
After gaining a physical body, Song Chuyi couldn't float in the air anymore and had to walk on his own feet.
To be honest, he was a bit unaccustomed to it now.
Of course, he no longer needed to follow Hu Jiutian around all the time.
After Hu Jiutian went to the company, Song Chuyi, for once, went out by himself.
He didn't know much about this world, and after nearly half a year here, he hadn't had the chance to explore it properly.
So, the day after gaining a physical body, he excitedly went out.
Inside the CEO office of the Nine-Tailed Fox Group, Hu Jiutian activated the illusion realm.
Having learned control, Hu Jiutian had become even stronger.
Even the illusions now had their own domain.
If he wanted, he could turn the entire Jing City into an illusion, and no one would be able to distinguish reality from illusion.
The illusion realm is currently expanding from the Nine-Tailed Fox Group as its epicenter.
He has the live surveillance feed of his home displayed in front of him.
A'Chu left the house half an hour ago.
He doesn’t know where she went, and A'Chu didn’t tell him.
Seeing no sign of Song Chuyi in the surveillance footage, Hu Jiutian lost all interest in work.
A failing corporation can't hold a candle to A'Chu.
If not for the need to have money and power to live in the human world, he really wouldn’t want to take over the Nine-Tailed Fox Group.
Hu Jiutian’s eyes darkened as he stared at the surveillance feed, swiftly expanding the illusion realm.
A ripple seemed to appear wherever the realm passed.
People went about their usual tasks, but there was an odd sense of difference in the air.
Most people were too busy to notice the subtle shift between reality and illusion.
Soon, the realm captured Song Chuyi's figure.
The illusions surrounded him.
"Strange."
He muttered to himself.
Something felt off.
But he couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
It was as if, just a moment ago, he had entered a different world.
But he didn’t dwell on it; after all, the crispy pancake roll in front of him was far more interesting!
Previously, without a physical form, he couldn’t enjoy human food.
Now, he could savor a fully loaded pancake roll!
Song Chuyi licked his lips and asked the vendor, "Hey boss, can you throw in some extra lettuce?"
"Sure!" The vendor responded, his voice vaguely familiar.
The pancake roll was quickly ready, and Song Chuyi grabbed it, casually asking, "What do I owe you?"
"No money needed," the boss said, "You don’t pay for fried pancake rolls with money here."
