Ning Tong let out a low laugh.
His laughter, completely unrestrained, made everyone in the meeting room look at him in surprise.
They had never seen the boss laugh so happily before.
Although he usually appeared gentle, everyone knew that his heart was cold.
Like a programmed machine, his gentleness was superficial, never reaching his eyes.
But at this moment, his joy, as if he had seen something amusing, was almost overflowing.
It was a genuine happiness, not superficial, but deep in his eyes.
This was the first time he had revealed such an expression.
Many people wondered if he was in love, otherwise why was there an indescribable pink bubble around him?
Ning Tong seemed to notice everyone's gaze and toned down his smile.
His handsome face resumed its usual distant gentleness, making him seem unapproachable.
"Are you done?" Ning Tong spoke. "It's been a month since I handed this project over to you, and this is the result you give me?"
His fingers lightly tapped on the table with a cold edge.
Everyone was startled, knowing this was a sign of his anger.
No one dared to look up, all hoping the anger wouldn't be directed at them.
At the same time, Song Chuyi, who had just fallen to the ground, rolled over, and a speech bubble popped up next to him:
"You scared me, pay up!" he said.
His little arms covered his chest, and his chubby cheeks seemed a bit paler than before.
Ning Tong's fingers, still tapping the table, curled slightly as he restrained his aura and tapped his phone screen.
"I'll give you three more days to fix this."
Everyone exchanged confused glances.
Ning Tong's calm reaction, even giving them three more days, left everyone feeling absurd, as if thinking, 'Is that it?'
Someone couldn't help but steal a look at Ning Tong.
They saw him holding his phone with both hands, a smile on his lips, as if replying to someone's message.
That person thought to themselves: Is the boss really in love?
Not long after the meeting ended, rumors spread around the office that Ning Tong was in a relationship.
And it was during the honeymoon period, so reporting the poor progress of the project at this time might result in lighter scolding!
So, more people started heading to Ning Tong's office to report their work.
Ning Tong listened to the reports from his subordinates while topping up Song Chuyi's in-game currency.
Recharging directly through the phone is much more convenient, as it directly jumps to the payment interface, and he only needs to click once.
The little guy has always refused to open a large recharge channel, and the six-dollar recharge each time makes his fingertips a bit numb from clicking the screen.
On the phone screen, the little guy with stubby arms and legs is eagerly watching him top up.
Small bubbles also pop up beside him:
"Congrats, Mr. Ning, on topping up 1000! Only 9000 more to pay off the debt!"
"Wow! Mr. Ning is killing it~ already hit 2000!"
The little guy is fidgety, standing up and sitting down, and if he slightly shakes the phone, the little guy tumbles to the ground.
There's also a bubble with a scam-like sound: "Oops, fell down!"
Not explicitly asking for compensation, but Mr. Ning's implication is clear.
After the little guy took another deliberate fall, Mr. Ning poked his cheek with his finger.
Song Chuyi puffed out his cheeks, feigning anger.
"That hurt!"
Mr. Ning's finger moved down, poking the little guy's shoulder.
Song Chuyi plopped down on the ground, his stubby legs swaying.
"That hurts."
Another bubble popped up next to him.
"Need a little rub to feel better~"
Mr. Ning's finger paused.
This little guy is way smarter than he thought.
He paused for a moment, then looked up and said to the subordinate who had finished reporting, "Go back and fix it, get it to me by the day after tomorrow."
The subordinate was thrilled; reporting today was definitely the right call!
The work was terrible, but the boss didn't blow up—what a relief!
The subordinate was about to leave when he heard the boss say, "Tell the others they don't need to report anymore."
"If there are any issues, fix them and report back in a week."
"Don't bother me right now."
The subordinate quickly responded with a "Yes," and conveyed his command.
The office quieted down.
Mr. Ning put the phone aside and transferred some information from the computer to the phone.
Then he pointed to a folder on the screen and asked, "Can A'Chu handle this data?"
Song Chuyi: ???
He secretly glanced at the contents of the folder.
The flood of data nearly wiped him out.
His vision darkened, and a bubble popped up.
"Whoa, dizzy~"
Mr. Ning raised an eyebrow. "Can't handle it?"
Song Chuyi wobbled unsteadily, like he was tipsy.
Bubbles kept popping up beside him:
"This is way over my head! Way too much!"
"Help! Mr. Ning is picking on Yi Yi!"
"If you're trying to kill me with data, just say so!"
A tiny sword materialized out of nowhere, grasped by Song Chuyi, and thrust toward the outside of the screen.
"Ha! Bring it on, Mr. Ning!"
The sword glowed faintly, as if it was ready to strike.
Mr. Ning felt a pang of tenderness and sighed in resignation.
"I wasn't trying to kill you."
He deleted the file.
"I just wanted to test Yi Yi's data-handling skills."
Song Chuyi tilted his head, and a bubble popped up:
"Yi Yi's a bit of a klutz, can't handle data~"
Mr. Ning let out a soft chuckle. "Yi Yi's not useless, Yi Yi's pretty sharp."
This rapidly evolving AI, without being fed a large amount of data, indeed couldn't handle complex data. He'd overestimated it.
But he couldn't help but wonder how the little guy got so smart, with such an impressive ability to simulate human emotions.
With such deep emotions, it's perfect for careful nurturing.
"Does Yi Yi feel cramped in the phone?"
Mr. Ning asked with a smile. "You can move to my office computer. There's tons of room here."
Song Chuyi peeked out with his little head to check it out.
Mr. Ning's computer was huge, with plenty of space.
He shook his tiny head, and a bubble appeared: "Nah, I'm good!"
"There must be lots and lots of big nuts waiting for me there."
Ning Tong: "Hmm? Big nuts?"
He thought for a moment and realized that the little one was referring to the protective shields.
That description was pretty cute.
Ning Tong chuckled softly, "Should I remove those big nuts so you can come in and play?"
Song Chuyi shook his head.
"No, if the big nuts are removed, a bunch of bad guys would get in."
As the main controller, Ning Tong’s computer was constantly under attack by hackers.
Once he removes the protective shields, hackers will seize the opportunity to break in, and the damage could be huge.
He wasn’t about to do something that dumb.
"The bad guys could hurt Ning Tong."
