Chapter 151 I Am Your Husband
by 范氏女子**Chapter 151: I'm Your Husband**
Su He gazed dreamily at the man before her, thinking only how handsome he was.
Wait—wasn’t this exactly her type?
The men she had met in the modern world were all so slick, always trying to act like domineering CEOs, smirking at her with that cringe-worthy “charm.”
But the man in front of her—aloof yet elegant, strikingly handsome, his gentle eyes fixed on her—was straight out of her fantasies.
Tipsy, Su He seemed a bit spacey, but her mind was spinning with wild delusions.
Why did he look so familiar? Wait—wasn’t he…
Her husband!
*"Husband~"*
Thinking this, she blurted it out without hesitation.
But she said it very softly, just a murmur—so only Fu Tinghua beside her heard it.
Yet her voice was sweet and delicate, making Fu Tinghua’s skin tingle, igniting a sudden heat in him.
“Drunk?” he murmured, leaning close to her ear.
Su He leaned into him, just like that—
Was she out cold?
The others nearby noticed Su He acting strange and asked, “Is Su He drunk?”
“You just had to get her drunk, huh?” Wu Yanhua scolded, giving Fu Dajun a reproachful look.
Fu Dajun mumbled defensively, “It’s the good stuff—no hangover tomorrow.”
Wu Yanhua wasn’t buying his crap and rolled her eyes.
Fu Dajun had one vice—he loved his liquor.
But he didn’t drink often, and he refused anything weak or tasteless. He’d sooner go dry than drink swill.
“Ting Hua, why don’t you take Su He to bed? We’ll handle cleanup,” Zhang Xiaohua cut in smoothly.
“Yeah, Ting Hua, we’ve got this. We’ll make sure everything’s taken care of,” He Fangfang chimed in, eager to score points with her brother-in-law.
“Take Su He back to rest first. Everyone’s pretty much done eating anyway,” Wu Yanhua said, eyeing her youngest son cradling Su He with approval.
She couldn’t help hoping for another grandbaby.
Fu Tinghua nodded and said, “I’ll take her up now.”
With that, he effortlessly swept Su He into a bridal carry and carried her toward the bedroom.
Which room? Well…
His own, obviously.
After a night of sleeping soundly with his wife, Dr. Fu wasn’t about to go back to playing widower.
Besides, it took some convincing to get Su He to sleep beside him in the first place.
"We're pretty much done eating. Let's clean up and head back too," Fu Dajun chimed in.
Wu Yanhua glanced at the scraps left on the table and quickly said, "There's still a little left—finish it up. Don't waste it."
With that, she picked up her chopsticks and started eating the remaining dishes.
Their generation couldn't stand wasting food.
All the kids were already outside playing—except for Wan Er.
Chen Waner was devouring the last grains of rice in her bowl—it was just too delicious.
Back at the Chen household, she had never eaten such tasty dishes before.
Not just her—even the Fu family had never tasted anything like it.
They had eaten at Su He's place before, but back then, she hadn't cooked so many dishes.
After carefully placing Su He on the bed, Fu Tinghua began taking off her shoes.
The two had gone up the mountain earlier, and after returning, they had quickly washed up and changed clothes before cooking, so Su He's clothes were still clean now.
Looking at her soft pink lips, Fu Tinghua couldn't resist stealing another kiss.
She was fast asleep, her breathing light and steady.
Gazing at Su He's sleeping face, Fu Tinghua's eyes brimmed with tenderness.
He gently stroked her cheek, savoring the delicate texture of her skin.
Sleep well.
Fu Tinghua, unable to resist, pressed another light peck on Su He's lips before turning off the light and leaving the room.
By the time he stepped out, the womenfolk were already cleaning up the children's table—some stoked the fire while others washed dishes.
Meanwhile, the children were playing outside, even Wan Er had joined them.
"Ting Hua, what time are you heading back to the city tomorrow?" Wu Yanhua asked as she emerged from the kitchen.
"We'll leave after breakfast tomorrow."
The idea of Su He leaving the village made Wu Yanhua unexpectedly sad.
"Ah, in the future, bring your wife home more often to visit us," Wu Yanhua said, her gaze shifting to Zai Zai and Niu Niu.
Her heart ached with guilt when she looked at her grandchildren.
"Mom, don't worry. We'll visit for holidays—or whenever Su He craves durian. You won't miss us."
Fu Tinghua was both amused and exasperated—why was everyone acting like this was goodbye forever?
"Ah, that's good then. Tell me, does Su He still hold a grudge about how I treated her before?" Wu Yanhua suddenly worried before their departure.
"No, she doesn't dwell on such things," Fu Tinghua replied with absolute certainty.
"In the past, I really wasn't good to her. After you return to the city, remember to tell your wife I've changed, understand?" Wu Yanhua said sternly.
Fu Tinghua felt torn between laughter and exasperation—he never imagined his mother would care this much about Su He.
"Yeah, I will," he promised.
After tidying up the house, seeing the Fu family off, giving the two kids their baths and putting them to bed, Fu Tinghua finally had time to take a shower.
After showering, he rushed back to the bedroom. Su He was drunk, and he worried she might feel unwell or need someone there in case she got sick—someone needed to be by her side.
Opening the door, he saw Su He lying peacefully in bed, showing no sign of waking up. Fu Tinghua breathed a sigh of relief.
He turned off the lights and settled in beside Su He.
That night, he wasn’t planning to cuddle her, afraid she’d feel uncomfortable being held too tightly.
But the moment he lay down, Su He suddenly rolled over and threw her arms and legs over him, pulling him close.
Seeing this, Fu Tinghua reached out and gently patted her back, like he was comforting a child.
Unexpectedly, Su He suddenly lifted her head and looked at him. "Huh? A man?"
Fu Tinghua: ...
In the darkness, she couldn't see his face clearly, so she began to feel it with her hands.
"Wow~ Your skin is so nice~"
Her voice was not only pleasant but also soft and sweet, making Fu Tinghua's blood run hot.
"Who are you?" Su He asked again when he didn’t respond.
"I'm your husband."
In the dark, Fu Tinghua’s expression was unreadable, radiating dangerous intensity.
It was as if he had become a hungry wolf, ready to consume the woman in his arms at any moment.
