Chapter 183: Thrilling
by 夜阑妖歌Chapter 183: Thrilling
None of the demons attempted to escape as Wen Ying drew blood quickly, naturally "lining his own pockets" in the process.
After drawing their blood, the other demons left swiftly. The young demons were more hot-blooded than their elders, and the King's words had undoubtedly piqued their interest. Wen Ying could tell that they all seemed eager to find a victim to vent their excitement on.
"Earlier, I asked some of the other demons about you," Yun Lao's voice came from behind him. Wen Ying turned his head. "I'm guessing it wasn't anything good."
"They said you're not a typical Mirror Demon," Yun Lao approached with great interest, the complete opposite of his previous demeanor. "The top student at Lucifer Demon Academy."
As he spoke, his pace quickened, indicating that his master was now highly intrigued.
"You're not as weak as you appear," Yun Lao reached out and grabbed a strand of Wen Ying's silver-white hair near his collarbone. "Are you interested in dyeing your hair a different color?"
Wen Ying pulled his hair back from Yun Lao's grasp and then reached out to grab the other demon's short hair, tugging hard on it by his ear, pulling Yun Lao towards him. His tone was low and menacing. "It would be even better to be trampled underfoot by a seemingly weak Mirror Demon like me."
This guy...
Wen Ying gazed at the flush on Yun Lao's cheeks, his brows lifting in amusement.
His hair was suddenly tugged by another demon, causing Wen Ying's head to jerk backward. He released Yun Lao's hair and took a few steps back.
Wen Ying turned his head slightly and lifted his gaze, grabbing the hair that Beros was pulling. He complained, "Do all of you have a grudge against my hair?"
Boros tightly gripped the hair in his hand, his nails digging into the flesh of his palm. His cold, crimson eyes gazed down at Wen Ying.
Boros gazed intently at Wen Ying, and she could sense the intense fury hidden behind his taut, expressionless facade.
Wen Ying paused, a thought flashing across his mind.
Muershi strolled over with an air of leisure, cradling his head in both hands as he watched the scene from five meters away with keen interest.
Yun Lao spoke up, "I just learned something. It's said that at the beginning of the semester, you played with his tail? Or was it your own tail?"
"Shut up," Beros snapped in a tense, low voice.
Yun Lao's eyes widened, and he prodded Beros with excitement, "Why didn't you hit him like you did to me back then? You were so ruthless at that time..."
Yun Lao's voice gradually turned hoarse, like a flirtatious whisper filled with sighs, if translated into words, there would be many wavy lines following, indicating the owner of the voice was in a state of ecstatic pleasure.
The air pressure around Berros decreased, the air becoming hot and the temperature rising.
Muershi said, "Berros, you can't possibly not know that Yun Lao is deliberately provoking you, right?"
Berros looked at Muershi.
Muershi raised his hands, "I'm just an innocent bystander."
"Get lost."
Berros turned and took a few steps forward, but his strides became smaller, pausing for a moment before striding back quickly to pull Wen Ying away.
The more he thought about it, the angrier he got.
Muershi waved at Wen Ying, while Yun Lao stood beside him, stroking his cheek with one hand, his expression dazed, "Such an amazing feeling...".
Muershi said, "I still don't understand you."
Yun Lao glanced sideways. "Tell me more about that Mirror Demon. I've asked other demons, but I want to know more."
Muershi stroked his chin. "Where should I start…?"
Meanwhile, Wen Ying looked at the arm Beros was gripping tightly. The pressure caused a persistent ache, and he felt that if he were just an ordinary human, his wrist would have been fractured by now.
"Beros, do you know how you appear right now…" Wen Ying teased, pausing mid-sentence.
Scanning their surroundings, it was clear that this wasn't Beros's first visit. His furious strides weren't aimless; the area was spacious and devoid of any other demons.
Reacting instinctively, Wen Ying leaned backward from the waist, dodging the punch that came with a fierce gust of wind. Pushing off the ground, he leaped lightly, landing on Beros's broad shoulder with one foot.
"You're just embarrassed, aren't you?"
"Shut up."
The two demons engaged in a back-and-forth exchange of attacks and evasions in the wide, empty space devoid of other demons.
