    Chapter 198: Living Together

The layout of each room in the dormitory was identical, differing only in whether they were single or double rooms. Wen Ying walked through several before settling on the first room at the end of the third floor corridor.

Initially, he had wanted to choose a room higher up, but unfortunately, all the rooms above were singles.

The dormitory was spacious, fully equipped with basic necessities. In the double rooms, the beds were placed on opposite sides, with the door situated directly in the center.

Though called a double room, it was essentially two single rooms connected by a half wall that housed a comfortable table and chairs. The balcony was situated behind this partition, while windows were positioned on either side of the beds.

Each occupant had their own desk and wardrobe, and even the bathroom was divided into two separate spaces.

Wait, there was only one bathroom. Wen Ying went to inspect the other side, discovering that the other half was a shower area. Thus, the double room separated the toilet and bathroom.

The floor appeared to be made of marble, and the walls were constructed from non-reflective material.

As Wen Ying wandered about, inspecting the room, Bellerophon did the same. Out of courtesy, Wen Xinxin and Lu Qingyuan stood outside.

Feeling somewhat bored, Wen Xinxin struck up a conversation with Lu Qingyuan, "Are you the academic genius, Lu Qingyuan, who topped all written exams for the second-year cohort?"

Lu Qingyuan nodded. "Only the written test results."

Wen Xinxin exclaimed, "That's already impressive. I have a younger brother whose exam scores often hover around the passing mark, sometimes even failing. You're way better than him."

Lu Qingyuan observed the vivacious girl, sensing her magic power continuously overflowing around her. She was a beginner and didn't have good control over her powers.

With such strength, yet being able to maintain a bright and self-confident demeanor here, Lu Qingyuan quickly concluded that she was an outsider, someone who had never been exposed to magic before.

During the previous semester's final exams, after exorcists and demons had come into public view, there were indeed some talented outsiders who came to the academy to get a head start on experiencing the atmosphere.

"The Exorcist Academy's written tests can be aced with diligent study," Lu Qingyuan paused, his tone tinged with a subtle hint of melancholy. "But practical classes are different; being serious might not necessarily help."

Wen Xinxin seemed to miss the underlying message in his words and casually replied, "Being serious is still useful. Not taking it seriously might land you at the bottom of the class."

Wen Xinxin began to ponder inwardly.

"Go back and rest. There's no need to follow us all the time."

Lost in thought, Wen Xinxin was startled by the sound of a voice. The Magic Mirror Demon had somehow appeared at the door without her noticing.

"Wen Xinxin suddenly asked, "Have we met before?"

Wen Ying chuckled softly. "I don't think so."

Perhaps it was possible, Lu Qingyuan mused to himself. This demon had been summoned by him several times; this girl might have crossed paths with him on some street or in some shop.

They must have met before, or at least she's seen his picture, Xin Xin was certain. Yet, she couldn't recall any specific encounter. It was strange – with such distinctive silver hair, she would surely remember if they had met.

Smiling, Wen Ying watched them leave and then closed the door, leaning against it with his eyelashes fluttering slightly.

Despite his current state, his cousin still found him familiar – it was enough to scare...the hell out of him.

Hiding the truth indefinitely wasn't a solution; he needed to make a plan.

A shadow fell across Wen Ying's vision, and he lifted his gaze.

    Bellerophon said, "Excuse me."

"Are you leaving?" Wen Ying asked, his voice laced with curiosity.

    "Fetch the key."

Wen Ying clicked his tongue. "The Demon King really should compensate me mentally for these missions – they're making me forgetful."

As he spoke, Wen Ying moved aside and added to Beros, "Remember to get one for me as well."

After Beros left, Wen Ying glanced at the bed. The sheets were already in place, and there was a quilt. He limped over to take a shower.

When he emerged from the bathroom, Beros had returned.

Beros's first words upon seeing him were, "Lan Jiaying just asked me to take you downstairs."

Wen Ying felt refreshed after his bath. Unusually, he hadn't used water magic to remove the water from his hair; instead, he was toweling off with a towel draped over his head.

With his wet, silver-white tresses cascading down his body and slipping into the towel wrapped around his waist, Wen Ying said with hidden meaning, "What did you say?"

Beros brushed past Wen Ying, entering the bathroom behind him. Before closing the door, he threw out a reply.

    "Wen Ying refused."

Wen Ying could picture Lan Jiaying's furious and helpless expression, and he burst into an unbridled laughter.

Boros emerged from the bathroom, startled to find Wen Ying standing by the door when he opened it.

    "What are you doing here?"

The Mirror Demon responded with a grin, "Don't we now count as cohabiting?"

"There were times before when we spent the night together," Boros said nonchalantly.

Watching Boros approach his own bed, Wen Ying knitted his brows slightly and quickly pondered for a moment. Then, he swiftly walked over.

Something brushed against Boros's tail, fleeting yet ticklish like a feather.

Wen Ying's tail swept across Boros's, rubbing against it several times. Boros, realizing it only after a moment, wore a slightly astonished look.

"I want to hold you while we sleep tonight," Wen Ying said.

The demon in the magic mirror gazed intently at Perseus, his gem-like eyes shimmering under the light, his low voice murmuring like a lover's whisper, filling the air with a seductive ambiance.

His silver-white hair, scattered about, concealed part of his upper body, revealing patches of fair skin that glowed like delicate bone china under the lamps.

He appeared like a exquisite artwork, if one were to overlook the evenly distributed muscles that covered his body, one could easily add the adjective 'fragile' to his description.

Perseus fell into a long silence.

Wen Ying grew impatient and approached him in a few strides, hugging him without any hesitation as if he owned the place.

Perseus loosely encircled Wen Ying's wrist with his hand, his action hesitant.

Wen Ying queried, "Could it be because you're not yet an adult, so you don't have that kind of reaction?"

    Perseus suddenly tightened his grip.

"Ouch…" Wen Ying sucked in a sharp breath, "My hand! My hand! It's going to break!"

Wen Ying pulled his hand back from Perseus, startled by the red mark that now encircled his wrist. He used a healing spell to erase the mark and said, somewhat annoyed, "Perseus, what are you doing?"

Boros's expression darkened, his brows furrowed in gloom, a clear sign of his displeasure.

"I'm perfectly healthy," Boros grated out the words through gritted teeth.

Wen Ying was taken aback and couldn't help but snicker, which only fueled Boros's embarrassment and anger.

"I get it, I get it, you're very healthy," Wen Ying paused, "Then why don't you like sleeping with me?"

Boros was surprised, then fell silent.

Wen Ying gently kicked him, and as Boros turned, the corner of Wen Ying's mouth twitched. He forcefully pulled Boros onto the bed.

"We've slept together before, relax. You're not of age yet, I'm not that insane," Wen Ying mumbled as he dragged Boros along.

Although Boros resisted, his efforts were feeble, and Wen Ying successfully pulled him onto the bed, inwardly cursing. If Boros truly didn't want this, there was no way Wen Ying could have succeeded.

This was clearly a game of cat and mouse!

It was still early, not yet time for bed, and the dinner Wen Ying had packed was still on the table. Yet, he clung to Boros like an octopus, unwilling to move and preferring to just fall asleep right away.

After all, a demon wouldn't suffer any consequences from skipping a meal; they would only habitually feel the sensation of hunger.

Wen Ying wraps his arms around Belos from behind, a hint of frustration in his heart. A startling thought suddenly flashes through his mind, causing him to blurt out, "Belos, you can't possibly... not know about... those things, right?" Wen Ying speaks with great hesitation.

Boros suddenly turned around and embraced Wen Ying, "How could that be."

Calm and composed, Wen Ying would have believed it if not for the force that was almost suffocating him.

Boros likely wasn't completely ignorant, Wen Ying assumed that he simply disdained love, thus he didn't bother to understand it, only knowing superficial hearsay.

Wait! Wen Ying, heedless of the near-suffocating hold that Balthos had on him, suddenly shone with excitement. If Balthos truly knew but the surface of things, if this blank parchment held but a scattering of ink, then he could, without question, mold Balthos into precisely the form he desired!

Wen Ying passionately bit into Bellerophon's solid pectoral muscle.

"Hiss..." Boreas pushed Wen Ying away.

Bolos was so thoroughly unsettled by Wen Ying's gaze that every follicle on his body seemed to stand at attention. With an air of wary suspicion, he inquired, "What are you thinking?"

Whenever Wen Ying displays an excited look, something undesirable is bound to happen.

Wen Ying wiped his mouth, a bright smile on his face, "Nothing, let's sleep."

He didn't even bother to hug Beros again, instead, he covered himself with the blanket, lay down properly, and closed his eyes to sleep, a noticeable smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

Beros sat up and noticed the untouched meal box on the table, "Aren't you eating?"

Wen Ying replied, "No need, I need to hurry up and dream, to see what I'll do in my dreams."

First, he recalled some amusing short videos he had watched earlier, hoping to dream about a compilation of them.

That night, Beros had a nightmare where Wen Ying transformed into a replica of Aruda, conducting bizarre experiments on him.

The next morning, Beros jolted awake, sitting upright, gradually regaining his senses.

Wen Ying, still half-asleep, asked, "What's wrong? Your aura is so chaotic."

The culprit slept soundly, causing Beros to huff in annoyance as he got out of bed to freshen up.

Wen Ying rubbed his eyes, staring blankly at the bed for a while. Surprisingly, he had dreamed nothing all night.

Wen Ying pondered, guessing that his guilt over dealing with a minor demon was too heavy, resulting in him not having any dreams.

Upon waking up, Wen Ying habitually reached for his phone. He swiped to the account of the Demon Realm Judiciary, browsing through today's trending topics. The number one topic was "#Demon Realm Cthulhu Cuisine."

Wen Ying chuckled and clicked in. It seemed someone from the cafeteria had taken photos and complained. It could be confirmed that it wasn't someone from the private room, as the entire internet now misunderstood those terrifyingly shaped dishes as everyday fare in the Demon Realm.

Lan Jiaying would probably be furious upon seeing this.

To prevent being slashed by Lan Jiaying when leaving the room, Wen Ying used the Demon Realm Judiciary account to edit an explanation and post it under the topic, which was quickly discovered and bumped to the top.

After some thought, he also posted a piece on demonic culture regarding their ears and tails before putting away his phone and heading to the bathroom to freshen up.

At the same time, Lu Qingyuan, holding the documents he had forgotten to give to the Dean the previous day, arrived early at the Dean's office.

The door to the office was half-open. Assuming no one would be there so early in the morning, Lu Qingyuan was about to push it open when he suddenly heard voices coming from inside. He immediately held his breath, slowed his steps, and listened carefully to what was being said.

It was human nature to be curious.

He had expected to overhear discussions related to the academy, but instead, he stumbled upon a shocking conversation. They were talking about the surveillance footage of his first summoning of Wen Ying in the classroom.

Lu Qingyuan nearly lost his composure, risking detection from within.

But even if he hadn't been noticed, he couldn't avoid entering, for the corridor was under surveillance.

He knocked on the door with a pretense of casualness, and the conversation inside ceased.

"Director, these are the documents I forgot to give you yesterday."

    "Alright, you may go."

As Lu Qingyuan turned to leave, he was suddenly stopped.

"Did you hear what we were saying just now?"
