    Chapter 306 - Half a Day

It was actually the Black Dragon Clan!

Gong Changchuan's expression changed slightly. Apart from his identity, he was also surprised that the demon from the Black Dragon Clan seemed to have a good relationship with Wen Ying.

He had thought that many demons would view Wen Ying with hostility, especially those from the current Demon King's clan.

The situation had taken an unexpected turn.

An angel was able to navigate the Demon Realm with ease, and his demonic ties weren't as bad as he had imagined.

Boros really wanted Yun Lao to leave, but based on the human romance novels he had been reading recently, directly telling Yun Lao to leave would inadvertently decrease Wen Ying's favorability towards him and even increase his guilt towards Yun Lao!

If those novels were truly accurate, he might just search for their usernames online.

Wen Ying asked about what he was most concerned about first, "Has the situation in Mirror Lake City been taken care of, right?"

Yun Lao raised an eyebrow, "The strongest there were only Mid-Rank Demons. Of course, it's been handled."

Wen Ying's expression visibly relaxed as he turned to the exorcists who had arrived from the human world, saying, "You must have learned beforehand that the place I've prepared for you in the Demon Realm is called Mirror Lake City. It's quite a distance from here; we'll take floating beasts to get there."

The Demon Realm lacked airplanes, but they had "flying birds." The most popular among these were the floating beasts, enormous magical creatures resembling manta rays, so vast that demons could construct multi-level cottages on their backs.

    "Floating beasts?"

"Are they the giant fish recorded in the Compendium of Magical Beasts?"

"Look up at the sky, they're huge!"

The young man's emotions were more apparent as he gazed in awe at the massive, slowly descending black shadow, its triangular form enveloping them entirely.

The aerial beast high above resembled a jellyfish in the sea, with translucent, ethereal wings that seemed to glide through the sky.

"Hey, Wen Ying," Lu Qingtao approached, "How long will it take us to reach Mirror Lake City on this thing?"

Jing Yuan, overhearing the question, replied on behalf of Wen Ying, "About half a day."

The group, along with the demon, ascended onto the structure attached to the back of the floating beast.

This floating beast was bred by the Mirror Demon clan after trading in magic cards. Apart from assisting them in transporting goods, it also served as a symbol of status. Any reasonably wealthy and influential demon race would certainly raise a specific magical beast like this.

A massive creature like the floating beast was undoubtedly beyond the means of those with meager backgrounds.

After strolling around the structures on the back of the floating beast for a while, Gong Changchuan and the others found it all very novel. There were no such colossal creatures in the Human Realm; it was an entirely different sensation from being on an airplane.

As the floating beast soared over the mountains, rivers, and cities of the Demon Realm, everyone got a brief glimpse of its landscapes.

While Beros introduced the Demon Realm to Wen Ying and the exorcists, he whispered menacingly to Yun Lao, "Don't you have your own business to attend to?"

Yun Lao's smile widened at Beros' words. "How coincidental. The Devil King has asked me to keep an eye on the visitors from the Human Realm for Wen Ying."

Noticing Beros' expressionless yet fierce look, Yun Lao's eyes sparkled with anticipation.

Beros clenched and unclenched his hands by his sides. Punishing or rewarding this guy made no difference; he turned to search for Wen Ying amidst the humans.

A hint of regret flashed in Yun Lao's eyes as he watched Beros interact with Wen Ying. His gaze flicked between the two demons, and he licked his lips.

Silver hair stood out more than black, and Yun Lao soon found himself looking at Jing Yuan, who also had silver-white tresses.

Jing Yuan shuddered, pretending not to notice the gaze of that perverted upper-level demon.

That fellow treated him as a substitute for Wen Ying, but not in a way bound by love, hate, affection, or enmity. It was merely a plain tool replacement.

Wen Ying's kind of "tool" was useful, but Yun Lao couldn't obtain it, so he intended to create another "tool" himself.

Beros-style "tools" were still difficult to control, but Mirror Demons were abundant and easily acquired.

Yun Lao approached the young Mirror Demon with the high ponytail, his hand casually resting on the other's body as he asked with a grin, "Have you finished reading the book I gave you?"

His voice wasn't effeminate, but when he spoke with that delicate, cold, and sinister tone, especially while laughing into someone's ear, it sent chills down their spine.

A string of curses flashed through Jing Yuan's mind. How could a sadist be cultivated? If not for the fact that this was a Black Dragon he couldn't defeat, Jing Yuan would have long told him to get lost.

Half a day later, the floating beast carried the group and the exorcists to Mirror Lake City without encountering any obstacles. They did come across more "flying birds," but there was no interaction, and everyone went their separate ways.

After descending from the multi-story houses on the floating beast, Wen Ying personally led them to the accommodations that had been prepared in advance.

Having viewed the residence, Wen Ying then acted as a tour guide, showing them around Mirror Lake City and giving a brief introduction to the customs and traditions of the Demon Realm.

The demons within the city had seemingly "agreed" beforehand and none of them made a high-profile protest against humans entering the Demon Realm. Instead, most of them regarded the humans with the same gaze they would use for food.

Lu Rongyu found the situation rather... peculiar. "This feeling is really..."

Lu Qingtao replied, "You'll get used to it."

Lu Qingyuan furrowed his brow. "Something doesn't feel right."

Upon overhearing their conversation, Wen Ying interjected, "In the Demon Realm, demons only acknowledge strength."

A few among the group, who were powerful exorcists, inwardly resolved to seize this opportunity to cultivate. The Demon Realm was rich in demonic energy, and their cultivation speed here would be much faster than in the Human Realm.

Bellerophon nonchalantly reached out, his palm brushing against the back of Wen Ying's hand as if by accident.

Wen Ying paused in his speech and turned to Jing Yuan, who was standing behind him. "Send a few demons from our clan to show them around."

Addressing Lu Qingtao and the others, Wen Ying continued, "I have some business to attend to. For now, my fellow clansmen will serve as your guides."

    The group nodded in understanding.

"Go ahead and attend to your matters."
