    Chapter 309: Results

What Beros had feared the most, something that had even haunted him in his nightmares, had finally come true.

—Wen Ying had such inclinations and wanted to give it a try.

Beros' crimson eyes, which were still flushed with desire, regained some clarity.

"Wen Ying: "You just released a lot of energy," Wen Ying wagged his tail excitedly, "So you have to play with me too, the way I want."

He pressed his hand on Beros' pectoral muscles, his eyes shimmering like little stars. With his other hand, he took out his enchanted weapon. The long whip attached to the rod-like end was already visible.

Seeing Wen Ying's expression and the item in his hand, Beros thought to himself, "It's over." However, he tried to resist, "This is my first time..."

Wen Ying interrupted with a grin, his tone filled with anticipation, "I won't go overboard. Just as long as it's the same duration as before."

Beros: "..." Suddenly, he realized that lasting longer wasn't necessarily a good thing.

If this was going to be the norm, Beros suddenly wished that he could... be quicker.

The approaching whip caused Beros's pupils to constrict, his body tensing as he attempted to break free.

    ...

Satiated in both body and soul, Wen Ying lounged lazily on Beros's chest. Beros was in a state of contentment yet confusion, his eyes blankly staring at the ceiling.

They had done it, but not in the way he had imagined.

Despite being on top, he felt as if he were the one beneath.

This was something he couldn't let any other demon know.

Strength truly was paramount; his lifelong pursuit had been right all along.

Beros's mind was cluttered with thoughts, yet his hands stubbornly and devotedly encircled Wen Ying's waist.

"Starting tomorrow is the final exam week for the Exorcist Academy," Wen Ying's voice was husky, laced with the sultry remnants of satisfaction, "I need to make a trip back to the human world."

Beros's grip on Wen Ying's waist tightened.

"Many demons have already reached adulthood and can't currently enter the human realm," Beros said. "The demon academy's final exam results this time won't include those from the human world."

Wen Ying lifted his gaze, his expression asking if Beros knew what he was saying.

He leaned back up slightly before lying down again, lazily saying, "Are you still not fully awake? Do you need me to help you...?"

    "No," Beros blurted out.

Wen Ying chuckled softly, like a feather brushing against an ear, teasing yet exhilarating.

Beros' muddled mind started to regain clarity. Sensing that Wen Ying didn't wish to continue, he said, "One favor for another."

Beros: "...Next time, when I'm more accustomed to it."

Wait, damn it, why should he get used to that? He wasn't Yun Lao.

"Sleep," Wen Ying tugged at the blanket and kissed Beros on the cheek with a smile. "I hope the demons' powerful self-healing ability will restore my condition tomorrow," he thought to himself, as his body felt somewhat strained.

Boros held his beloved demonic mirror, unable to fall asleep immediately as he pondered whether or not to sacrifice something for the sake of their relationship. After much deliberation, he eventually drifted off to sleep without reaching a decision.

The next day, Wen Ying left Boros behind with a cold heart, heading to the human settlement in Mirror Lake City to accompany them back to the human world.

The humans' first official venture into the demon realm had ended smoothly.

In just over a month, this group of people had significantly improved their powers, and even Association President Gong Changchuan had broken through a bottleneck. Upon their return, many were treated like zoo animals, observed by others.

While few dared to approach powerhouses like Gong Changchuan, the younger generation, such as Lu Qingtao, faced constant scrutiny. Exorcists marveled at their progress.

Upon returning to the human world, Wen Ying noticed that quite a number of his demonic friends were missing. Many demons had recently come of age, leaving only half of them in the human realm.

The remaining half wished they had been born earlier, as they were now faced with human written tests. The human script was like a foreign language to them, causing great distress, along with history and geography questions that also posed challenges.

Wen Ying was the happiest of all, taking delight in seeing the demons suffer through what he once endured in the demon realm. He even found himself eating an extra bowl of rice.

Muershi, who had yet to reach adulthood, suffered through an especially painful final week. Cheating was out of the question, as Wen Ying insisted on treating demons equally and sternly opposed any form of academic dishonesty.

Muershi had always suspected Wen Ying's heritage to include the bloodline of an evil bird, and this only reinforced his belief.

Upon the conclusion of the exams on Monday, the demons returned to the Demon Realm, for they had final assessments at the Demon Academy to attend to.

It had been quite some time since Wen Ying last visited the academy, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia, as if revisiting an old haunt. Despite it only being roughly half a year, it seemed like ages had passed.

Indeed, much had transpired during this semester.

Feng Luo stood on the platform, still exuding his composed yet sinister gentlemanly aura, with a cold gaze and sharp tone.

The demons below had undergone various changes compared to before. For instance, those who had reached adulthood had undergone physical transformations—some had become more alluring, others more handsome, and some more muscular.

"This semester, since you all went to the Human Realm, your grades will be calculated as previously agreed. First place goes to Wen Ying," Feng Luo read with a neutral tone, "second place is Perseus, and third place is Lan Jiaying..."

Lan Jiaying's lips curved like a natural smile, elegant yet the mirth didn't reach his eyes.

Feng Luo finished reading and added, "The ranking matches for this semester will commence tomorrow, lasting for three days." As he spoke, his gaze flickered toward Wen Ying. There were quite a number of demons in the academy who were eager to test the strength of an angel.

It turns out that Wen Ying is an angel - one could say that reality surpasses the most fantastical tales.

Not just an angel-human hybrid, but also the next Decadal Demon King - judging by Wen Ying's personality, it didn't seem like he would willingly accept the nominal position of the Demon King. Feng Luo was somewhat worried about the massive gamble the current Demon King was taking.

Despite the numerous high-ranking Demon Overlords exerting pressure, ... possessing angelic power and the ability to communicate with the laws was already a significant bargaining chip.

According to the information Lai Yehua, that fellow, had disclosed, most of the key positions in the Judgment Bureau within the Human Realm were now under Wen Ying's control. The original demons holding those positions were either replaced or had defected to Wen Ying.

Feng Luo still conducted himself as before, getting straight to the point and then leaving.

Essence approached, wanting to talk to Wen Ying, but Beros looked at him with an unfriendly gaze, issuing a warning not to come any closer.

Essence was taken aback. Why had Beros suddenly become so hostile toward him after just a few days? Even though he was now an adult Incubus, it shouldn't have escalated to this extent, right?

Muershi approached nonchalantly and said, "Wen Ying, it seems there will be quite a few demons eager to challenge you tomorrow."

"Come on," Wen Ying spoke with a hint of arrogance, echoing the bravado of a dragon. "When Perseus reached adulthood, I tested his powers, and they weren't particularly challenging."

Upon hearing this, the surrounding demons reacted strongly.
