Chapter 186: Stubbornness in Words
by 夜阑妖歌Chapter 186: Stubbornness in Words
Wen Ying's gaze was playful as he deliberately observed Poros's expression.
Poros slapped away Wen Ying's approaching face and stood up to walk out.
Wen Ying watched his departing back and chuckled softly for a while.
Now he fully understood the internet slang "toughest mouth in the body." It was like even when on fire, the lips would still hold their ground.
Wen Ying's gaze wandered around the room before he slowly walked out.
He went down to the first floor and found Poros in the kitchen, opening the fridge.
Wen Ying approached and peered into the fridge from under his arm, exclaiming, "I thought there wouldn't be anything in your fridge."
Poros glanced sideways, "What do you think I usually eat if there's nothing?" He couldn't comprehend Wen Ying's line of thinking.
"Have the nanny buy ingredients and cook?"
"I don't like having the scent of other demons in the villa."
Boros took something out of the fridge before closing it and heading towards the oven.
Wen Ying followed behind him with his hands clasped behind his back, like a little follower.
"What about me?"
Without looking away from his task, Boros replied, "I do let some demons in to clean every now and then."
The underlying message in Boros's words was that Wen Ying was no different from them – he wouldn't stay for long and only visited occasionally, so his scent wouldn't linger in the villa.
Wen Ying's eyelids drooped. "You're really cold. I'll go find Yun Lao to develop my latest hobby then."
As he turned to leave, two fingers caught the collar of his shirt from behind.
"Are we eating out for lunch or staying here?"
The corners of Wen Ying's lips curved slightly as he tilted his head back to look at Boros. From this angle, the man's face was still handsome, and the taut line of his jaw was exquisitely seductive.
"Do you want to eat it?"
"Suit yourself."
"Wen Ying here will eat, eat, eat," he turned around, well-versed in the art of slapping with one hand and offering honey with the other. "Grandma said your cooking skills are great. I'll give it a try today."
Boros coldly pushed Wen Ying out of the kitchen and slammed the door shut.
Wen Ying was in a great mood, his lips curved in a smile that never faded, exuding happiness all over.
He wandered around the first floor and headed to the living room to turn on the TV.
Boros brought out dishes one after another. Wen Ying waited until everything was set out before approaching.
At first glance, they looked appetizing and smelled delightful, not resembling any sort of culinary disaster.
It was stir-fried monster meat, fried meat patties, vegetable salad, roasted items, thick soup, and more.
Taking the chopsticks Boros offered, Wen Ying picked up a slice of meat patty and took a bite. He sincerely commented, "Boros, you could consider being a chef as a fallback option."
Boros snapped the chopsticks in his hand, "Just eat quietly."
Wen Ying threw up his hands, shifting into his focused eating mode.
After finishing their meal, Boros used wind magic to roll the dishes into the sink, added some cleaning liquid, and then controlled water magic to wash them.
Wen Ying watched him for a while from the kitchen door. He then continued watching TV in the living room. When Boros finished cleaning up and came out, he acted as if Wen Ying didn't exist, casually taking things from the living room as if no other being was around. After grabbing what he needed, he left.
"What are you doing?"
"Exercising."
