Lu Hang Gets Turned Over

Of course, if she couldn’t have it, she didn’t want anyone else to have it either. Especially seeing Lu Hang in such a state, she pretended to be sad but was secretly delighted, thinking it served Lu Hang and the Lu family right.

Though she regretted that it wasn’t Lin Qingqing who had married into the family, she had no intention of letting Lin Nannan off either—figuring it was just her tough luck.

"Nan Nan, Brother Hang’s condition is the result of serving his country honorably. How could you look down on him? You must understand that once you enter this household, you’re his wife," Han Yan said, noticing Lin Nannan’s lack of reaction after her long speech. She began stirring up trouble, hoping Lin Nannan would earn the Lu family’s disdain.

Lin Nannan, lost in thought about how to handle the wedding night, looked at Han Yan, who was clearly trying to stir things up, with confusion and bluntly replied, "Since you’ve said all that, it must mean you don’t look down on him. In that case, why don’t you marry him and take care of him instead?"

Han Yan hadn’t expected such a response and was momentarily stunned, her mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water as she struggled to form a reply.

Lu Yuan, who had initially been displeased with Lin Nannan for seemingly looking down on her brother, now realized that Han Yan, despite all her talk, was all talk and no action.

"You two are already married, haha..." Han Yan awkwardly changed the subject, putting on a show of concern. "Nan Nan, Brother Hang can’t move on his own and needs someone to turn him over every so often. Now that you’re part of the family, you can’t keep refusing forever, right?"

Lin Nannan, realizing she had missed Han Yan’s earlier remarks while lost in thought, simply ignored her and turned to Lu Yuan instead. "How do I turn your brother over?"

"Huh?" Lu Yuan blinked in surprise. "Just... turn him over?"

Was there some special technique to it?

Seeing no particular method was needed, Lin Nannan just went for it...

"I don’t need it!" Lu Hang was mortified and declined politely. "Dad already turned me over earlier."

"Do you want people to think I look down on you so you can marry someone else?" She wasn’t jealous—just stating facts.

Lu Hang was at a loss for words, giving a wry smile. "You’re the only one who doesn’t look down on me!"

"Then why refuse?" Lin Nannan didn’t understand.

This left Lu Hang completely stumped...

Should he say he was embarrassed? Shy?

But he’d rather die than admit that.

Lin Nannan didn’t care about his thoughts. Since he had nothing to say, actions would have to do. Using her strength, she flipped Lu Hang over with one quick move, plopping him face down on the bed instead of on his side...

"Ah, Brother!" Lu Yuan cried out in alarm, rushing forward. "Sister-in-law, you’ll suffocate him like this!"

The words "That won’t happen" lodged in Lu Hang’s throat before he could speak. Before he knew it, he was flipped back, then lifted uncontrollably—only to find himself being carried in someone’s arms.

Even while injured and bedridden, the six-foot-plus man had never imagined being picked up. Staring into Lin Nannan’s calm eyes in shock, he got a sinking feeling—his recovery period was not going to be peaceful.
