Lin Nannan tilted her head and looked at him, puzzled. "You say you like me, yet you want me to leave. Lu Hang, are you messing with me?"

Lu Hang knew Lin Nannan was totally clueless when it came to emotions, so he didn’t find her question odd. Instead, he explained seriously, "It’s precisely because I care, because I like you, that I want you to have a better life."

"Is that so?" Lin Nannan asked doubtfully. "I think it’s pretty good here. I don’t feel like I’m having a hard time at all!"

"But I can’t do anything for you!" Lu Hang said, angry with himself.

Seeing him like this, Lin Nannan felt bad for him. But the Repair Serum was far too miraculous—something completely impossible for current medical science. So she just said to comfort him, "I don’t need you to do anything. Just stay in bed!"

Her words left Lu Hang at a loss for words.

Old Mrs. Lin’s expression turned grim, but she didn’t speak.
