He knew how brave his daughter was. She usually responded calmly even when people joked with her, so if Lin Nannan said she was scared, it must have been bad. His tone grew urgent as he pressed for details.

Lin Nannan quickly explained the situation, frowning as she said, "I don’t know his name, but I could tell he'd injured his arm recently, not an old one!"

"A new injury?" Lu Hang murmured, "I was away on a mission, so I’m not sure who got hurt. I'll ask around later."

"Mm," Lin Nannan replied, lowering her voice as she saw he was taking it seriously.
