Lu Hang watched the mother and daughter engage in playful squabbling and said with a smile, "Go get washed up and changed!"

"She’s just grown taller, that’s why she looks thinner," Lin Nannan said, stroking her daughter’s little face.

Du Du was displeased, her eyes wide and round, her face full of defiance.

"What, you want to fight me?" Lin Nannan, finding it amusing, continued to tease her.

Lu Hang stayed silent, letting the mother and daughter face off. He was curious about what Du Du would do next—whether she would continue to defy her mother or simply burst into tears...

Lin Nannan was curious too. They were both waiting for Du Du’s reaction, but unexpectedly, the little one’s decision was beyond their expectations. She sought outside help, flinging herself into Lu Hang’s arms and babbling a stream of complaints while pointing accusingly at her mother.
