"If you don't want to, then just ignore her and just live your life from now on. It's not like this is the first time you've realized your mother is terrible!" After mocking her, Lin Nannan picked up Lu Dudu, who had been playing happily with Lu Hang. Meeting the little one's confused gaze, she calmly said to Lin Shuang, "You can keep crying if you want. We're going to get some rest!"

"She brought this upon herself. She deserves no pity!" Lin Kangnian said disdainfully.

In truth, everyone knew Zhang Ling had never shown much maternal love toward Lin Shuang—it had all been an act put on for the Lin family.

Relieved that he didn’t object, Lin Shuang said, "Once my dad finds a new wife, I’ll send you the news. Help me pass it along to her. I want her to regret it so much it eats her up inside. I want her to know that once she’s out, she’ll be truly alone—no one will care about her anymore, not even me."

This petty, childish rant had everyone at a loss for words.

Though they found it a little ridiculous, everyone also felt a sense of satisfaction, so they quietly agreed to help her deliver the message.

Who knows how pissed Zhang Ling would be upon hearing this—after all, this time, the knife was twisted by her own biological daughter.

No one could stop Lin Shuang from leaving. In the end, it was Grandma Lin who insisted on sending some gifts for her and her father, stopping her from taking off in a hurry.
