    Chapter 725

    Calling for Backup

"Are... are all these true?" he blurted out excitedly.

Lin Nannan had anticipated his reaction and nodded, saying, "Whether it's true or not, we’ll find out once we give it a shot!"

It was no surprise he reacted this way. To fill in the historical gaps, she had included research that had never been explored here but had been historically validated from her own world/timeline. As long as they tested it, success was certain, and the impact would be enormous—hence Yin Xu’s barely contained excitement.

After looking through the materials, Yin Xu couldn’t wait any longer. He looked at Lin Nannan and asked, "What else do you need?"

Whatever was within their capabilities, they would do everything they can to get it for you.

Lin Nannan pointed to the notebook in his hand and said, "Aside from these, I need physical samples of everything else that can be obtained!"

Yin Xu gasped. "Do you know how many plant species exist in the entire country? With this approach, something like this could take years!"

"It’s fine if it’s not completed, but I need to record all possible samples within a month. I hope you can pull out all the stops to help me achieve this," she said, then picked up a notebook set aside, opened it, and added, "Regarding these materials, I need you to get someone to look into this for me. I require the data from them."

Yin Xu took the notebook, flipped through a few pages, and, seeing the manageable quantity, nodded. "I understand. I’ll arrange it. But these... are you planning to compile them into a volume?"

Lin Nannan hadn’t originally considered it, but Yin Xu’s question, the idea appealed to her. She nodded in agreement. "I do have that idea. If possible, I hope to use it in education so more people can learn from it. This will undoubtedly benefit our country’s development."

The notebook suddenly felt heavy in Yin Xu’s hands.

Lin Nannan’s words might have seemed casual, but her love for her country was clear.

If the nation could compile these materials into educational resources, it would prevent future knowledge gaps and maximize the impact of this knowledge.

"I understand. I’ll get things set up right away. Don’t rush yourself—for anything uncertain, I’ll have people bring over documents to cross-check." He paused, hesitating. "Should we invite Mr. Hu to come? Many of the materials we have here are incomplete."

Lin Nannan pursed her lips, thought for a moment, and said, "That’s fine. You can arrange it. But during my research, I prefer not to be disturbed. However, I’ll provide all the materials without withholding anything."

Yin Xu assumed her reluctance to be disturbed was due to her focus on research, so he nodded without hesitation. "Alright, I’ll make the call now and have everything arranged from above."

Lin Nannan didn’t worry about what came next, instead focusing on how to achieve her goals.

She was fulfilling her own mission while also helping restore local knowledge—a win-win situation.

Her only requirement was physical samples. With the nation’s support, she wouldn’t need her family to run around exhausted, and she could obtain even more resources without distraction. With Yin Xu handling external matters, she could work with greater peace of mind and thoroughness.

Among the materials sent, she only needed to extract seeds or cells and preserve them. She didn’t require everything, though for some unique plants, she would still send them away. As for raising suspicions, she figured consuming a few non-precious samples wouldn’t be an issue.
