Chapter 183

Taking the Shot
So, were these guys actually after Lu Hang?
As she pondered, she raised her gun and aimed at someone sneaking up on A Zhang and A Da. With a loud "bang," the shot hit its mark—the guy dropped like a sack of potatoes.
Only then did A Zhang and A Da realize they had been too focused on the front, completely unaware of someone approaching from the side. If not for someone having their back, they would have been ambushed.
Exchanging a glance, the two made a point not to look behind them—whoever had saved them was back there.
When Lu Hang noticed trouble brewing around A Zhang, he immediately thought of Lin Nannan. It had to be her.
As he considered how to regroup with her, a quick burst of gunfire rang out, all directed toward his flank. He knew then that Lin Nannan had wiped out the guys trying to flank them.
At the same time, he realized there was something special about Lin Nannan's gun—its range was far greater than expected. He couldn’t even spot her position, yet he saw the results of her precise shots.
Lin Nannan's arrival turned the tables. The enemy, who had held the upper hand, quickly adjusted their strategy—too scared to try surrounding them now.
After all, their weapons couldn’t match Lin Nannan’s range. Approaching would be suicide, so they were pinned down.
Seeing their hesitation, Lin Nannan noticed a few figures in the distance arguing heatedly, clearly underestimating the threat from such a distance.
She cracked a smirk as she slowly raised her gun and took aim. With another "bang," the enraged man from moments ago was down for good, instantly sparking panic.
Though Lu Hang couldn’t see what had happened, the sudden chaos told him Lin Nannan had taken out someone important. Seizing the moment, he went on the offensive. Without ever coordinating, the two moved in perfect sync—one advancing, the other providing cover—their teamwork seamless.
Meanwhile, A Zhang and A Da, instead of crowding Lu Hang, flanked the enemy from the sides. With Lin Nannan providing overwatch, the three leveraged their superior firepower to mow down the headless chickens who had lost their leader.
Without their leader, the enemy fell apart completely.
Terrified by the relentless assault, they scrambled to flee—only to be dropped as they ran, leaving them utterly broken. Escape meant death; staying meant certain doom. Either way, death seemed inevitable.
By the time only a dozen remained out of the original group, Lu Hang forced them to their knees, disarmed and begging for mercy.
Though they surrendered, a few still attempted a desperate last stand—until Lin Nannan and Lu Hang simultaneously eliminated two troublemakers, crushing any remaining defiance.
Captivity at least offered a chance to live; death was final.
Only after all were bound and their weapons confiscated did Lin Nannan finally emerge, walking up like she owned the place, as if she were just here for fun.
When the defeated men saw that they'd been taken down by a girl, their eyes widened in disbelief.
"How did you get here?" Lu Hang asked, stepping forward to meet her, his voice laced with surprise.
