At dinner, Lin Nannan finally got to eat the braised pork ribs she had been craving.

Perhaps because they had just gotten money from the Lins, Grandma Lu made the ribs glazed with savory juices, earning praise from everyone.

It was Lin Nannan’s first time tasting braised ribs, and she was instantly hooked, devouring her food like a dedicated foodie.

“Grandma doesn’t dote on me anymore!”

Lin Nannan tilted her head and glanced at Lu Yuan, then took a rib from her own portion and placed it in Lu Yuan’s bowl. With a grin, she said, “I’ll dote on you!”

Well, Lu Yuan, who had only been joking, was instantly flustered by her sister-in-law’s gesture, her face turning red.

“Sis, I was just kidding!” Lu Yuan stared at the rib in her bowl, unsure whether to eat it or not, almost tearing up.

Lin Nannan quite liked Lu Yuan. Seeing her flustered, she smiled and urged, “Go ahead and eat!”

“Your sister-in-law is so good to you. Go on, eat!” Zhang Xiaofeng was genuinely surprised. It was obvious how much Lin Nannan loved the ribs—she had been eating them so intently she never looked up since they were served.

Yet now, she had given up part of her share out of concern for A Yuan. Such a sweet girl deserved to be cherished.

“By the way,” Grandma Lu said as dinner was ending, turning to Lin Nannan, who was finishing her soup, “Nan Nan, your father-in-law sprained his ankle. Though it’s been set, he still needs a few days to rest. So for now, you’ll need to look after A Hang.”

Lin Nannan looked up at her and said, “It's fine with me, as long as Lu Hang agrees!”

The Lu family looked at each other before turning to Lu Fang, waiting for him to persuade his son.

The reason they didn’t ask Zhang Xiaofeng was that if Lu Hang became stubborn, she might end up wanting to hit him.
