"Don’t back away," Lin Nannan said, seeing the female classmate who had spoken up earlier take a couple of steps back. "This 'blessing' is for you—take it!"

Jiang Qianqian was amused by her words and chimed in, "Yeah, take it. Don’t be like me, unaware of the blessings you have, not realizing how good he is!"

Feng Wu’s face turned pale, and he gritted his teeth. "Enough, Jiang Qianqian. Do you have to humiliate me like this?"

"How is this humiliation?" Jiang Qianqian pretended not to understand. "You’re poor, your father passed away early, you don’t want your mother to be bullied, and you want someone to take good care of her so she won’t suffer… I understand all that. But I realized I can’t do it. My parents spoil me—they don’t even let me do chores. Why should I go to your house to be your caretaker and use my parents’ hard-earned money to support you? He didn’t take her seriously, but with so many people around, it wasn’t the right moment to escalate things. Instead, he turned to Jiang Qianqian. "Qian Qian, there’s been a misunderstanding between us. Let me explain properly once we’re back at school."

"Before explaining, money first." Knowing the importance of money, Lin Nannan cut to the chase.

"Yeah, money first!" With her Sister-in-law backing her, Jiang Qianqian grew bolder.

Feng Wu thought of the money in his pocket. Under everyone’s scrutiny, he gritted his teeth and said, "You were the one who forced the money on me. I never wanted to use it…" As he spoke, he pulled out a wad of cash to prove he wasn’t lying.

Jiang Qianqian frowned at the sight of the money, her expression changing.
